ROLLING OUT THE CRIMSON CARPET

-

Chapman University is honored to be a part of the historic community of Orange, California. Since Chapman’s relocation from Los Angeles to Orange in 1954, the university’s students, faculty and staff have been enriched by—and enriched—the environment of Old Towne Orange. Exceptional people are drawn to study, teach and work on the Chapman campus, and they give back to the Orange community, with many of them residing in the city and volunteering for local charities, events and causes.

Chapman is a values-centered university that attracts people who care about the world, their community and their place in it. The university throws its doors open to our neighbors, friends and visitors with a nearly constant array of free or low-cost events throughout the year, many of them featuring our very talented faculty, student performers and student athletes.

ALWAYS SOMETHING TO ENJOY

If the Big Orange Book Festival is your first introduction to Chapman University, we invite you to return to our campus for another event – or two, or more! Spend some time at Chapman enjoying a concert, tour or lecture. Stroll through the campus and view our Escalette Permanent Collection of Art, displayed throughout the grounds and classroom buildings, featuring works by such legends as Robert Rauschenberg, Tony DeLap and Ed Ruscha.

Be in the audience for the annual American Celebration gala (November 2-3), when the community gathers to enjoy an energetic 100-student cast singing and dancing their way through Broadway’s biggest hits. Kick off the holiday season with our annual Tree-Lighting Ceremony or the Wassail dinner and concert. Enhance your lifelong learning quest by attending talks and lectures by our faculty and visiting scholars. It’s all here at Chapman University – where there’s always something exciting happening for our friends and visitors.

“That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you’re not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
