“George Washington’s Breakfast”

George Washington Allen wanted to know what George Washington ate for breakfast. He searched every book about George Washington in the school library to find out. His grandmothe­r told him if he did find the answer, she would make it for him. George and his parents went to Washington, D.C., and Mt. Vernon to learn the truth. If you want to find out what George Washington ate for breakfast and how George Allen made the discovery, you have to read the whole book.

“The Invention of Hugo Cabret”

Hugo lives in the train station. His friend Isabelle has short hair and dark eyes. She helps Hugo get his notebook back. She would do anything to help him. This book is amazing.

This book looked like a challengin­g book, and I like challenges.

“Trupp: A Fuzzhead Tale”

Trupp, a fuzzy, cat-like creature, wants to go to the canyons. He thinks that if he wears clothes, the humans won’t see him. Off he goes.

When he reaches the canyons, he starts to climb. When he gets higher, there is green grass and crickets. The next day, he goes to the human place and looks for clothes. He finds a scarecrow and a raven. He takes the scarecrow’s clothes and puts them on. The raven helps him. The raven’s name is Krok.

When Trupp goes into the city, a homeless woman blocks his path. She says her name isBernice. Read the rest of the story to find out what happens.
