Shame on Schwarzenegger

Re “Court upholds clemency for ex-legislator’s son,” June 3

I am stunned. A former governor said he shortened the prison sentence for Esteban Nuñez — the former Assembly speaker’s son who pleaded guilty to manslaughter and assault — because “of course you help a friend.” He apparently has no respect for the laws of California.

If I voted for Arnold Schwarzenegger, then I am sorry. This is not how democracy should work, and I am truly ashamed.
