Florence is a touring Machine

- — August Brown

Florence + the Machine had one of the best performances at this year’s Coachella, even if it did cost Florence Welch the use of a foot for one weekend.

Apparently she is much better now, as the regal pop act has announced a twonight stand at the Hollywood Bowl this fall.

Florence + the Machine will stop by the Bowl on Oct. 16 and 17, with tickets going on sale June 13. The tour’s monthlong run also includes stops at Austin City Limits in Texas, the Santa Barbara Bowl and Berkeley’s Greek Theatre.

The dates come in support of her new album “How Big How Blue How Beautiful,” a more minimalist and live-band-sounding record that’s already added some staple singles (“What Kind of Man,” “Ship to Wreck”) to her catalog.
