Janice Sage from the Center Lovell Inn& Restaurant picked the winner of the contest Saturday. The winner’s name was not immediately disclosed.

Sage took ownership of the inn the same way, winning an essay contest more than two decades ago.

She had said she expected more than 7,500 entries, meaning she’d receive more than $900,000 at $125 per entry.
