Goodbye to Yahoo maps

Recognizing that Google Maps has overtaken its once popular service, Yahoo said it is shutting down Yahoo Mapsin the next fewweeks. The decision was a sign that CEO Marissa Mayer is looking formore dead weight to trim as Yahoo prepares for a life without the profits from its 15% stake in Chinese online giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd.
