he process of finding and securing a job in another city (or state) can take an extraordinary amount of time. Starting early doesn’t mean a few months before relocation. For students, for example it can mean working toward the move throughout their entire time as an undergrad. A few tactics: joining organizations of professional and personal interests; developing an individual story so that the passion is clearly identifiable; taking part in limitless informational interviews and video chats; devoting time each day to read relevant articles; identifying companies that match interests; and persistently checking for job postings.
