Es­caped killers re­main at large

Two con­victed mur­der­ers re­mained at large as in­ves­ti­ga­tors ques­tioned pri­son work­ers and out­side con­trac­tors to try to find out who may have helped them ob­tain the power tools they used to break out of a max­i­mum-se­cu­rity in­sti­tu­tion.

Of­fi­cers ques­tioned driv­ers and searched car trunks near the Clin­ton Cor­rec­tional Fa­cil­ity in Dannemora, about 20 miles south of Canada, even though au­thor­i­ties said David Sweat and Richard Matt could be long gone. Sweat, 34, and Matt, 48, were dis­cov­ered miss­ing early Satur­day.
