Signs to fea­ture slay­ing vic­tims

The Oak­land Po­lice Depart­ment says it will put up bill­boards and posters with the faces of homi­cide vic­tims across the city as part of an ini­tia­tive to solve cold cases.

Oak­land po­lice on Mon­day an­nounced they’ve launched an ini­tia­tive to help re­duce the num­ber of open homi­cide cases.

Start­ing next week, the depart­ment will put up bill­boards and posters across the city with the faces of cold-case vic­tims.

Oak­land po­lice spokes­woman Johnna Wat­son says the posters will carry the head­line “Do you know who killed me?”

The posters will also be view­able on a cold-case web­site.
