Uni­ver­sal Pic­tures’ profit: An ar­ti­cle in the June 16 Busi­ness sec­tion about Uni­ver­sal Pic­tures’ box-of­fice re­ceipts said that the stu­dio did not re­lease any films in 2014 that made more than $70 mil­lion do­mes­ti­cally. In fact, Uni­ver­sal did not re­lease any movies last year that cost more than $70 mil­lion to pro­duce.

John Car­roll: In the June 15 Sec­tion A, the obit­u­ary of for­mer Los An­ge­les Times Editor John Car­roll said that he left the Bal­ti­more Sun in 1979. He left the Sun in 1972. In 1979 he left the Philadelphia In­quirer to be­come editor of the Lex­ing­ton Her­aldLeader in Ken­tucky.

Serengeti study: In the June 13 Sec­tion A, a photo cap­tion that ac­com­pa­nied an ar­ti­cle about a wildlife study at Serengeti Na­tional Park in Tan­za­nia in­cor­rectly iden­ti­fied an an­i­mal pho­tographed in that study. It was a Cape buf­falo, or African buf­falo, not a wa­ter buf­falo.
