Skydiver dies in ‘hard landing’
A skydiver died Friday afternoon in the Jamul area of eastern San Diego County, the Sheriff ’s Department said.
The skydiver made a “hard landing” near Otay Lakes Road.
The Skydive San Diego facility is nearby.
The man’s name was not released.
The incident was under investigation by the Sheriff ’s Department and California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
