Islamic State claims attack
An Islamic State-claimed car bomb exploded outside a mosque in Sana, killing at least two people and wounding six, authorities said.
The bomb targeted the Qabat Mahdi mosque in Yemen’s capital, where Houthi rebels pray. The Sunni extremist Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it targeted Shiite Houthis.
It was the second Sana attack claimed by Islamic State’s affiliate in Yemen in four days: A series of bombings Wednesday killed at least four people and wounded 60.
