Uber driver an employee

A California Labor Commission ruling declaring that an Uber driver was a company employee— not a contractor— has rattled the fast-growing sharing-economy industry. The ruling said that a San Francisco driver was an employee and entitled to receive mileage and toll expenses because her services were “integral” to the Uber’s business model.
