London, a city known for itsgardens, has a new one for visitors to enjoy, and this one is guaranteed to get you high. The gardens its 800 feet above street level at the View From the Shard, an observatio­n deck on the 72nd floor of the Shard building on the south bank of the River Thames. The garden, which opened in mid-June, consists of more than 2,000 plants and trees growing in about 2,600 gallons of soil. The colorful display includes daisies, geraniums, lavender, lupines, marigolds, phlox and poppies. There’s evena bright greenlawn, but it won’t need watering; it’s artificial turf. You can visit into September; a closing date has not been set. Admission to the observatio­n deck costs $39 for adults and about $29.50 for children 4-15. Info: www.theviewfro­mtheshard.com
