Lon­don, a city known for its­gar­dens, has a new one for visi­tors to en­joy, and this one is guar­an­teed to get you high. The gar­dens its 800 feet above street level at the View From the Shard, an ob­ser­va­tion deck on the 72nd floor of the Shard build­ing on the south bank of the River Thames. The gar­den, which opened in mid-June, con­sists of more than 2,000 plants and trees grow­ing in about 2,600 gal­lons of soil. The col­or­ful dis­play in­cludes daisies, gera­ni­ums, laven­der, lupines, marigolds, phlox and pop­pies. There’s evena bright green­lawn, but it won’t need wa­ter­ing; it’s ar­ti­fi­cial turf. You can visit into Septem­ber; a clos­ing date has not been set. Ad­mis­sion to the ob­ser­va­tion deck costs $39 for adults and about $29.50 for chil­dren 4-15. Info: www.the­viewfromthe­shard.com
