Pryor joins Browns

Former Ohio State and Oakland quarterbac­k Terrelle Pryor was awarded to Cleveland on waivers and will try to make the Browns as a wide receiver. Pryor, who has made 10 pro starts at quarterbac­k, nine with the Raiders in 2013, recently announced his intention to switch positions.

Detroit signed former USC safety Taylor Mays, a second- round draft pick by San Francisco in 2010 who played for Cincinnati from 2011- 14.

A judge barred both sides of the completed Aaron Hernandez murder case from contacting one of the jurors who convicted the former New England Patriots star tight end of a 2013 killing. A Hernandez lawyer had expressed concern that the juror might have been “untruthful” during jury selection.
