Pryor joins Browns

Former Ohio State and Oakland quarterback Terrelle Pryor was awarded to Cleveland on waivers and will try to make the Browns as a wide receiver. Pryor, who has made 10 pro starts at quarterback, nine with the Raiders in 2013, recently announced his intention to switch positions.

Detroit signed former USC safety Taylor Mays, a second- round draft pick by San Francisco in 2010 who played for Cincinnati from 2011- 14.

A judge barred both sides of the completed Aaron Hernandez murder case from contacting one of the jurors who convicted the former New England Patriots star tight end of a 2013 killing. A Hernandez lawyer had expressed concern that the juror might have been “untruthful” during jury selection.
