4 held in drug investigation
Four people accused of distributing an injectable painkiller linked to the largest HIV outbreak in Indiana history have been arrested, and more arrests are expected, authorities said.
Michael Elkins and John Morgan were arrested June 16 in Clark County. The U. S. Drug Enforcement Administration said police searched the pair’s truck and found 4 ounces of methamphetamine, 19 Opana pills and an assault rif le. Two suspected couriers, Tyler Turner and William Thrower, were arrested four days later, the DEA said.
