4 held in drug investigat­ion

Four people accused of distributi­ng an injectable painkiller linked to the largest HIV outbreak in Indiana history have been arrested, and more arrests are expected, authoritie­s said.

Michael Elkins and John Morgan were arrested June 16 in Clark County. The U. S. Drug Enforcemen­t Administra­tion said police searched the pair’s truck and found 4 ounces of methamphet­amine, 19 Opana pills and an assault rif le. Two suspected couriers, Tyler Turner and William Thrower, were arrested four days later, the DEA said.
