4 held in drug in­ves­ti­ga­tion

Four peo­ple ac­cused of dis­tribut­ing an in­jectable painkiller linked to the largest HIV out­break in In­di­ana history have been ar­rested, and more ar­rests are ex­pected, author­i­ties said.

Michael Elkins and John Mor­gan were ar­rested June 16 in Clark County. The U. S. Drug En­force­ment Ad­min­is­tra­tion said po­lice searched the pair’s truck and found 4 ounces of metham­phetamine, 19 Opana pills and an as­sault rif le. Two sus­pected couri­ers, Tyler Turner and Wil­liam Thrower, were ar­rested four days later, the DEA said.
