Evan Longoria can forgo the team hotel the next time the Tampa Bay Rays are in town to play the Angels or Dodgers. The Southland baseball product and slugging third baseman for the American League East team recently bought a house in West Hollywood for $1.95 million.

Set behind walls and gates, the 1925 Spanish-style home has been recently renovated and features a courtyard entry, beamed ceilings and arched doorways.

Within the 1,850 square feet of space are a living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, an office and an updated kitchen. The master suite sports dual vanities and a large soaking tub for a total of three bedrooms and two bathrooms.

Outdoors, hedged grounds include a patio, courtyard/sitting area and a large lawn. A two-car garage sits behind a gated driveway.

A three-time all-star, Longoria (no relation to actress Eva Longoria) has deep roots in Southern California, having attended Long Beach State, where he shared Big West Conference player of the year honors in 2006. Before that he was at St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower.

A state-of-the-art kitchen sits between the living and dining rooms. The master suite has a fireplace and balcony for a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms. There is garage parking for up to four vehicles.
