at Tennessee 38, No. 19 Georgia 31: Joshua Dobbs threw for 312 yards, ran for 118 more and accounted for five touchdowns as the Volunteers erased a 21-point deficit in a victory over the Bulldogs. The defeat was doubly painful to Georgia, which lost star running back Nick Chubb to an injured left knee on the first play from scrimmage.
No. 7 Louisiana State, at South Carolina: Leonard Fournette ran 87 yards for a touchdown, Brandon Harris passed for a career-best 228 yards, and the Tigers defeated the Gamecocks in a game moved to Tiger Stadium because of catastrophic flooding in South Carolina. Fournette finished with a season-low 158 yards in 20 carries in three quarters.
at No. 8 Alabama 27, Arkansas 14: Reggie Ragland and the Crimson Tide’s swarming defense delivered crushing hits and big plays. Eventually, the offense struck too. Calvin Ridley caught an 81-yard touchdown pass from Jake Coker late in the third quarter and Alabama rode the defense to a win over the Razorbacks.
No. 11 Florida 21, at Missouri 3: Kelvin Taylor rushed for 99 yards and two first-quarter touchdowns and the Gators defeated the Tigers. Florida amassed 337 yards and possessed the ball for 37:53, converting 23 first downs. Quarterback Will Grier targeted eight receivers, completing 20 of 33 passes for 208 yards in his fifth start.
at No. 14 Mississippi 52, New Mexico State 3: Chad Kelly threw for 384 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Rebels over the Aggies. Kelly, who came into the day leading the Southeastern Conference in passing, has topped 300 yards in four of his six games. He completed 24 of 33 throws. Laquon Treadwell caught eight passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns.
at Mississippi State 45, Troy 17: Nick Fitzgerald, filling in for an under-the-weather Dak Prescott, had three touchdowns and 170 yards of total offense to lead the Bulldogs to a victory over the Trojans. Mississippi State dominated from the start, scoring touchdowns on offense, defense and special teams in the first quarter.
