Things have been rather awkward lately for Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan, but Sunday night gave them something to celebrate.

The duo from “Live With Kelly and Michael” took the joint prize for outstanding entertainment talk show host at the 43rd Daytime Emmy Awards. The victory comes on the heels of welldocumented tension, sparked by the news that Strahan will be leaving his post for a permanent slot on “Good Morning America.”

Reportedly blindsided by the announcement, Ripa declined to appear on “Live” for three days in protest before returning April 26. Strahan will be departing the show on May 13, earlier than initially planned.

Ripa and Strahan did not attend Sunday’s ceremony, but “Dr. Oz Show” host Mehmet Oz accepted on their behalf and joked that they would “share” the prize. The hosts put on a united front Monday morning, showing off their Emmys on the air.

“I f ind when we tend to not go, we tend to win,” Ripa said of their absence from the ceremony.

“General Hospital” was also a big winner at the awards, which were handed out over two consecutive nights in ceremonies that were not broadcast on television for the second time in three years. The ABC soap won f ive awards, including drama series. Cast members Tyler Christopher, Sean Blakemore and Bryan Craig took home the awards for lead actor, supporting actor and younger actor, respectively.

CBS’ “The Talk” scored something of an upset over perennial favorite “Ellen” in the entertainment talk show category.

Other winners included “Extra” for entertainment news program, “The Chew” for informative talk show, “The Price Is Right” for game show, Oz for informative talk show host, Craig Ferguson of “Celebrity Name Game” for game show host and “CBS Sunday Morning” for morning program.
