Warriors unstoppabl­e in fourth- quarter charge

Klay Thompson scored 27 points and gave Golden State its f irst lead of the game on a three- pointer with 51⁄ 2 minutes left, and the Warriors rallied to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers, 11099, on Tuesday night in Oakland for a 2- 0 lead in their Western Conference semifinal series.

Draymond Green added 17 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and four blocked shots in another win without injured most valuable player Stephen Curry, sidelined with a sprained right knee.

Game 3 is Saturday in Portland, and the MVP might be back for that one.

Damian Lillard had 25 points and six assists, and C. J. McCollum added 22 points for Portland, which made 13 three- pointers and held a 17- point lead in the second quarter.

Shaun Livingston scored 14 points for his fifth doubledigi­t performanc­e during these playoffs f illing in for Curry. Little- used Festus Ezeli contribute­d eight points and six rebounds down the stretch.

Miami 102, at Toronto 96: Goran Dragic scored 26 points, Dwyane Wade had seven of his 24 in overtime after Kyle Lowry’s half- court shot tied it at the buzzer, and the Heat won Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.

Joe Johnson scored 16 points and Hassan White- side had 17 rebounds for the Heat.

Lowry’s improbable three- pointer capped Toronto’s six- point comeback in the f inal 20 seconds of regulation, but the Raptors couldn’t deliver in the extra session. Toronto went scoreless for the f irst 3: 46 of overtime before DeMar DeRo- zan made a jumper.

“We had to win the game twice tonight,” Wade said.

Jonas Valanciuna­s had 24 points and 14 rebounds, and DeRozan added 22 points for the Raptors, who dropped to 1- 9 in the opening game of a postseason series. Five of those defeats have come at home.
