RAMS WHO MUST DELIVER
Middle linebacker Alec Ogletree. The Rams defense has been plagued by missed alignments and missed assignments the last two games. That falls on the player responsible for making sure every player is where he’s supposed to be. Ogletree took responsibility for calling the defense together after the loss at Detroit. We’ll see whether the message got through. Cornerback E.J. Gaines. With Trumaine Johnson sidelined because of an ankle injury, Gaines qualifies as the veteran corner and, possibly, the player responsible for making sure that Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. does not have a huge game for the second consecutive week. Gaines struggled at times against the Lions. The Rams cannot afford for him to have a repeat performance against the Giants, who sport a talented trio on the outside. Receiver Kenny Britt. The veteran has emerged as Case Keenum’s go-to receiver and is coming off a dynamic two-touchdown performance against the Lions. In what qualifies as a must-win game for the Rams, Britt must show that he can be as productive on a weekly basis and in the biggest games.
