Welcome to our AFI FEST Preview, which takes you inside the 30th edition of AFI FEST presented by Audi. To celebrate this landmark we’re a in tribute to three iconic women in cinema with screenings of their films in our Cinema’s Legacy section. You’ve probably seen the striking faces of pioneers Dorothy Dandridge, Ida Lupino and Anna May Wong on our festival street banners all over Los Angeles. Inside, you’ll also find more informatio­n about our two extraordin­ary tributees, Annette Bening and Isabelle Huppert. Each stars in Centerpiec­e Galas 20TH CENTURY WOMEN and ELLE, respective­ly. This is also the inaugural year of our Masters in Conversati­on section, which features three world-renowned filmmakers in discussion with directors of internatio­nal film festivals where their films premiered en route to AFI FEST.
