Stan the Man
Stan Lee has been popping up for almost 30 years in superhero flicks based on characters he helped create. Here are five of his top scene-stealing acts.
The Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989)
Lee made his first cameo appearance in this TV movie as the jury foreman in a courtroom scene.
The X-Men (2000)
In his first official appearance in a big-screen Marvel flick, he played a beachside hot-dog vendor.
Spider-Man (2002)
The first of many successful Spidey spinoffs, this one gave Lee a “hero” moment as he sweeps a little girl to safety.
Thor (2011)
When the God of Thunder is separated from his hammer, which falls to Earth, Lee, playing a truck driver, tries to extract it from the New Mexico desert with his rig.
Deadpool (2016)
In the first R-rated Marvel flick, superpowered, mutated antihero Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) searches high and low for his long-lost love, which includes going into a strip club where the DJ is—you guessed it—Stan Lee.
