Cougars roll to seventh straight win

-

Luke Falk threw for 311 yards and four touchdowns and No. 25 Washington State routed Arizona, 69-7, on Saturday at Pullman, Wash. — the Cougars’ seventh consecutive victory and the Wildcats’ sixth straight defeat.

Washington State, No. 25 in the College Football Playoff rankings, had its highest point total since 1997 and the highest ever against a Pac-12 opponent.

The Cougars (7-2 overall, 6-0 in the Pac-12) hadn’t won seven in a row since 2002. They and No. 4 Washington remain the only teams with undefeated Pac-12 records. Arizona fell to 2-7 and 0-6.

Washington State scored on its first six possessions for a 38-7 lead at halftime. Falk, who was relieved late in the third quarter by Tyler Hilinski, completed 32 of 35 passes in the game, with no interceptions or sacks.

at Stanford 26, Oregon State 15: Christian McCaffrey rushed for 199 yards and a touchdown, Bryce Love scored on a 56-yard run and Conrad Ukropina kicked a career-high four field goals, including a personal bestequaling 52-yarder in the first half, for the Cardinal.

Stanford (6-3, 4-3) sputtered offensively much of the day and had to overcome three fumbled snaps by quarterback Keller Chryst but held on to beat the Beavers (2-7, 1-5) for the seventh straight time.

The win made Stanford bowl eligible. The Cardinal have played in three of the last four Rose Bowls but aren’t in the running for the Pac-12 title this time around.
