Southern Section Division 2: San Clemente (10-3) at No. 2 Murrieta Valley (11-2), 7:30 p.m. (Fox Sports West) — Few teams have been able to stop Murrieta Valley’s offense. Sophomore quarterbac­k Hank Bachmeier has passed for 3,558 yards and 43 touchdowns. Running back Olita Palmer has rushed for 2,259 yards and 28 touchdowns. Wide receiver Marquis Spiker has 81 receptions and 23 touchdowns. San Clemente, led by quarterbac­k Jack Sears, will need to control the clock. The pick: Murrieta Valley. Division 3: No. 2 Huntington Beach Edison (12-1) at No. 1 La Mirada (11-2), 7:30 p.m. (Prime Ticket, delayed) — La Mirada keeps finding ways to win games. Tristan Meyer has 35 touchdown passes and one intercepti­on. Edison is trying to give retiring Coach Dave White a championsh­ip in his final season. Kenny Carmichael has 171⁄2 sacks. Quarterbac­k Griffin O’Connor is cool, calm and collected. The pick: Edison. Division 4: No. 3 Corona del Mar (12-1) vs. No. 1 Sierra Canyon (12-0) at Granada Hills, 7 p.m. — Sierra Canyon’s Bobby Cole is one tough running back. Chris Cannon has 171⁄2 sacks. Corona del Mar counters with Cal-bound quarterbac­k Chase Garbers and wide receiver TaeVeon Le, who is at times unstoppabl­e. The pick: Corona del Mar. Division 6: Lancaster Paraclete (9-4) at No. 1 Hacienda Heights Los Altos (13-0), 7 p.m. — Running back Tyler Nevens has been outstandin­g, and Los Altos keeps coming through with big plays to pull out victories. Paraclete has played a tougher schedule and has a rising standout in sophomore running back Jamaal Bell. The pick: Paraclete. Division 7: No. 4 Riverside Norte Vista (11-2) at No. 3 San Gorgonio (10-3), 7 p.m. — Everyone knows the ball is going to be handed off to Eric Melesio, who has rushed for 4,194 yards and 53 touchdowns for Norte Vista. San Gorgonio has relied on quarterbac­k Kaleb Hayes, who has passed for 1,728 yards and rushed for 1,274. The pick: Norte Vista. Division 8: Burbank (10-3) at Yorba Linda (11-2), 7 p.m. — Neither school has won a CIF football title, so there’s going to be a big celebratio­n one way or the other. Guy Gibbs of Burbank has passed for 2,331 yards and 21 touchdowns. Luke Wilson of Yorba Linda has passed for 2,203 yards and 21 touchdowns. The pick: Yorba Linda.
