Durant scores 32 in Warriors’ romp

Kevin Durant scored 32 points and the Golden State Warriors used a big third quarter to build a huge lead and coast to their sixth straight victory, 125-108, over the Houston Rockets on Friday night.

In a matchup of two of the best teams in the Western Conference and All-Star starting guards Stephen Curry and James Harden, the host Rockets fell short. Houston, which entered the game leading the NBA with 667 three-pointers, was seven for 35 behind the arc. Harden went 0 for 5 and Eric Gordon, who entered the game leading the NBA with 160 three-pointers, missed all seven attempts.

at Philadelph­ia 93, Portland 92:

Robert Covington scored 22 points and made two three-pointers in the final 40 seconds to lead the 76ers to their fourth win in a row and eighth in 10 games. Joel Embiid, who has sparked the recent surge, had 18 points and 10 rebounds but suffered a bruised left knee in the second half and didn’t play the final 8:50 of the game.

at Charlotte 113, Toronto 78:

Kemba Walker scored 32 points on 11-of-16 shooting, and the Hornets routed the Raptors.

at Atlanta 102, Chicago 93: Dennis Schroder scored 23 points and the Hawks held back a late scare after leading by 30 points after three quarters.

at Orlando 112, Milwaukee 96: Elfrid Payton scored 20 points, Jeff Green added 18 points and seven rebounds off the bench, and the Magic ended a three-game losing streak. Orlando shot 46% from the field while limiting the Bucks to 41%.

at Memphis 107, Sacramento 91:

Marc Gasol had 28 points and nine rebounds, Mike Conley added 16 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, and the Grizzlies coasted.

Brooklyn 143, at New Orleans 114:

Brook Lopez and Bojan Bogdanovic scored 23 points apiece and the Nets easily set a season high in points as they ended an 11game losing streak.

Utah 112, at Dallas 107 (OT): The Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki had one of the worst games of his career, making one of 13 shots.
