Rams get free agent Walker
The Rams added depth to their defense Thursday by signing free-agent lineman Tyrunn Walker and also agreed to terms with quarterback Aaron Murray.
Walker, 27, could play in rotation with tackles Aaron Donald and Michael Brockers. Dominique Easley also is on the roster.
The 6-foot-3, 294-pound Walker played the last two seasons for the Detroit Lions. In 2016, he started a career-high eight games and made 15 tackles.
Walker played his first three seasons with the New Orleans Saints after signing as an undrafted free agent from Tulsa. He has 31⁄2 sacks, none in the last two seasons.
Murray, 26, has not played in a regular-season NFL game. He joins a quarterback corps that includes starter Jared Goff and backup Sean Mannion.
Murray played at Georgia with Rams running back Todd Gurley and linebacker Alec Ogletree. He was a fifthround draft pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2014, and was on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad for most of last season.
Veteran Case Keenum, who started nine games for the Rams last season, is a free agent and expected to move on.
