BOMB HURTS EX-PREMIER
Police inspect a Mercedes of former Greek Prime Minister Lucas Papademos and a second car after he was wounded along with two others in what the government described as a bomb attack. The explosion occurred in his car Thursday evening, but police did not immediately confirm reports that the blast was caused by a parcel bomb. Government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos said the victims were in “stable condition, are conscious and are undergoing all the necessary medical tests.” Papademos, 69, who served as prime minister for six months in 2011 and 2012, was also a deputy governor of the European Central Bank.
