An Olympic wish list

Even as Los Angeles continues to push for hosting the 2024 Summer Olympics, it seems bid leaders are compiling a list of concession­s they could seek in return for taking the 2028 Games instead.

Mayor Eric Garcetti identified one wish-list item at a news conference this week, saying he would like the Internatio­nal Olympic Committee to fund youth programs throughout L.A.

“My dream is not so much just to bring the Olympics here, but to bring youth sports for free to every ZIP Code,” Garcetti said Wednesday. — David Wharton

The Kings signed forward Bokondji Imama to a three-year entry-level contract. The Kings reached the deal Thursday, a few hours before the signing deadline for unsigned draft choices. The team acquired the rights to Imama on Wednesday from Tampa Bay.

The Ducks and assistant coach Paul MacLean have “mutally parted ways” following the expiration of MacLean’s contract, the team said. MacLean spent the past two seasons with the Ducks as an assistant under former coach Bruce Boudreau and his successor, Randy Carlyle.

He directed a power-play unit that was ranked No. 1 last season but fell to 17th this season. — Curtis Zupke

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tavon Young suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament and is lost for the season.

Riverside’s unbeaten lightweigh­t champion Mikey Garcia (36-0, 30 knockouts) will move up to 140 pounds to meet former four-division champion Adrien Broner (33-2, 24 KOs) July 29 on Showtime, the network said.
