Oregon State pours it on, sweeps its way to Omaha

- Who replaced Dylan Coleman for a lefty-lefty matchup after the Bears starter threw a season-high 132 pitches. Michael Papierski’s sacrifice fly capped a four-run rally in the eighth inning as the Tigers won the super regional opener.

Top-ranked Oregon State is headed to the College World Series, as Bryce Fehmel struck out 10 Vanderbilt batters in a complete-game gem, and the Beavers swept the NCAA super regional with a 9-2 rout of the Commodores on Saturday night.

KJ Harrison homered for the second consecutiv­e night to ignite the Oregon State offense in the third inning, his three-run shot giving the Beavers a 4-0 lead.

Oregon State (54-4) won its 21st game in a row and is going to Omaha for the first time since 2013.

Louisville 6, Kentucky 2: Drew Ellis homered twice, Josh Stowers and Logan Taylor each delivered extrabase RBI hits and lefthander Brendan McKay scattered eight hits and two runs as the Cardinals became the first school to clinch a College World Series berth.

Ellis hit solo shots in the second and sixth innings to ignite a super regional sweep by Louisville (52-10).

Texas A&M 12, Davidson 6: The Aggies used a sevenrun rally in the eighth inning to earn their first berth in the College World Series since 2011. A&M (41-21) swept its super regional, taking advantage of a collision by Davidson (35-26) on a pop fly behind the mound in the eighth inning.

Texas Christian 3, Missouri State 2: Evan Skoug hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the eighth inning, giving the host Horned Frogs (46-16) the victory in the super regional opener. Skoug's one-out shot just over the fence in right field — his 19th homer of the season — came on the fourth pitch from reliever Jordan Knutson (8-4),

Florida 2, Wake Forest 1: Ryan Larson's bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 11th gave the Gators (46-17) the victory in their super regional opener that had a four-hour storm delay starting in the fourth inning.

Florida State 7, Sam Houston State 6: Jackson Lueck had four hits, including the game-winner in the ninth inning, and four RBIs as the Seminoles (44-21) ralled from a four-run, second-inning deficit in the super regional opener. Louisiana State 4, Mississipp­i State 3:
