Women represent in charity baseball game
Reps. Nanette Barragán (D-San Pedro) and Linda Sanchez (D-Whittier) were the only two women who played in the Congressional Baseball Game on Thursday.
The Democrats won 11-2, with Barragán batting in a runner in the sixth inning. Both women seemed to be fan favorites at the annual charity game, played a day after a GOP congressman and three others were shot.
“Every kid who plays in Little League, including me, dreams of the opportunity to play ball on a big league field,” Barragán said.
