Harper suf­fers knee in­jury

Out­fielder Bryce Harper of the Wash­ing­ton Na­tion­als slipped on a wet first base in the first in­ning and in­jured his left knee Sat­ur­day.

Harper clutched at his left knee af­ter go­ing down and was at­tended to by train­ers. He put no weight on his left leg as he was helped off the field. There was no im­me­di­ate up­date on the in­jury.

The game be­gan just af­ter 10 p.m. EDT af­ter a three-hour rain de­lay. It was rain­ing steadily when the in­jury hap­pened.
