Harper suffers knee injury

Outfielder Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals slipped on a wet first base in the first inning and injured his left knee Saturday.

Harper clutched at his left knee after going down and was attended to by trainers. He put no weight on his left leg as he was helped off the field. There was no immediate update on the injury.

The game began just after 10 p.m. EDT after a three-hour rain delay. It was raining steadily when the injury happened.
