Two more Republicans join push for Dream Act

Central Valley Reps. Jeff Denham of Turlock and David Valadao of Hanford have signed on as co-sponsors of legislation to grant legal status to people brought to the country illegally as children.

Democrats are pushing for a quick vote on the bill, known as the Dream Act, after President Trump announced he will end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program within six months.

Denham and Valadao joined two other Republicans co-sponsoring the bill, along with nearly 200 Democrats.
