Kenley Jansen made things interesting by giving up a three-run shot to Daniel Descalso. Kershaw struck out 11 Diamondbacks in seven innings.

JULY 6
at Dodgers 5, Arizona 4 WP: Fields LP: Rodney HR: Ari: Lamb 2, Marte; Dodgers: Forsythe Recap: Trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the ninth, Puig led off with a single. Fernando Rodney then walked three, forcing in a run, and gave up a two-run tying single to Corey Seager. After an intentional walk to Turner, Taylor singled to left to win the game.

at Arizona 6, Dodgers 3 WP: Hernandez LP: Watson SV: Rodney HR: Dodgers: Turner; Arizona: Iannetta, Lamb 2 Recap: Lamb hit a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh off of Tony Watson to erase a 3-2 deficit, and it proved to be enough for the Diamonbacks.
