Of course he believes Moore

Re “Trump supports Moore despite teen sex scandal,” Nov. 22

President Trump has weighed in on basketball players shoplifting in China and Sen. Al Franken’s (DMinn.) more than questionable behavior with a sleeping associate on a USO tour, and now he supports Republican Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore despite allegations he had sexual contact with a 14year-old girl and preyed upon other teenagers.

Oh, for the days when our presidents were true moral arbiters, like when Bill Clinton held that magic office or when Richard Nixon held sway over Watergate — the list goes on.

This president, however, tops any list of hypocrites. And yes, this is a “very special time” for women, as Trump says — women who seem to have finally found a common voice against this epidemic of powerful predators.

Now that national attention is on sexual harassers and abusers, women need to take the next step and form an organization dedicated to preventing this sort of activity.

This organization should issue pendants or pins to display in the workplace. This would put would-be harassers on notice.

Moore is a major headache for Republicans but one readily cured: Get him out of the Senate race by finding a government post for him elsewhere.

Just as Trump has installed a climate-chage denier as Environmental Protection Agency chief and a women who wants to privatize public education as Education secretary, surely work can be found for Moore as head of Child Protective Services somewhere in the United States.

If Moore is elected to the United States Senate, would it be fair to say that Alabama is a sanctuary state for alleged sexual predators?
