Griffin impresses at combine

-

Former Central Florida linebacker Shaquem Griffin ran a 4.38 40-yard dash during his first run at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, the fastest time in his position group since the league started clocking times in 2003.

Griffin’s impressive sprint was identical to that of his twin brother, Shaquill, who ran a 4.38 at the combine last year, and it came a day after Griffin wowed everyone when he hit a personal-record 20 reps in the bench press with a prosthetic left hand.

“My goal was six,” said Griffin, who surpassed the 17 his brother managed before the Seattle Seahawks selected the speedy cornerback in the third round. Griffin is expected to be a mid-rounder, too.
