Rockets roll to 16th victory in a row

Chris Paul scored 25 points and the visiting Houston Rockets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 122-112 on Tuesday night for their 16th consecutiv­e victory.

James Harden had 23 points and 11 assists, and Trevor Ariza had 15 points for the Rockets, who matched Boston for the longest winning streak in the league this season and are on the second-longest winning streak in club history.

Russell Westbrook scored 32 points and Carmelo Anthony had 23 for Oklahoma City, which is in a logjam of teams trying to fight their way into third place in the West.

“We’re so good offensivel­y that every single night, teams are going to throw different coverages at us,” Harden said.

Bradley Beal scored 30 points on 12-for-16 shooting in his 17th straight game without backcourt mate John Wall (knee) to lift the Wizards. Beal went six for seven from beyond the arc.

at Dallas 118, Denver 107: Yogi Ferrell rode hot three-point shooting to a season-high 24 points, Dirk Nowitzki also was strong from long range to score 17 and the Mavericks beat the Nuggets.

at Portland 111, New York 87:

Damian Lillard scored 37 points and made eight three-pointers, and the Trail Blazers won their eighth straight game, beating the Knicks.

at Golden State 114, Brooklyn 101:

Stephen Curry scored 34 points with six three-pointers, and the Warriors won their sixth straight since the All-Star break by beating the Nets. Kevin Durant had 19 points and six rebounds for the defending champions.
