Eagles cut cornerback Worley after arrest

The Eagles released cornerback Daryl Worley hours after he was arrested following a run-in with police in his hometown of Philadelph­ia.

According to reports, Worley was found unresponsi­ve behind the wheel of a car blocking a highway Sunday morning near the team’s practice facility, and police used a Taser on him after he became combative. Reports also state a gun was found in the car.

The Super Bowl champions traded wide receiver Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers for Worley in March. Worley, 23, started 25 games in the past two seasons for the Panthers.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster won’t participat­e in the offseason program while he tends to legal matters related to his domestic violence charges. The 49ers said his future with the team will be “determined by the informatio­n revealed during the legal process.”
