Actress indicted on drug charge

Rose McGowan was indicted by a Virginia grand jury on one felony count of cocaine possession on Monday, months after the actress had been arrested on the months-old charge and released on bail.

Cocaine was found in a wallet McGowan left behind on a United Airlines flight in early 2017, and McGowan claimed Harvey Weinstein’s associates had planted the drugs. McGowan was an early accuser of the disgraced mogul.

“Rose steadfastly maintains her innocence,” her attorney Jose Baez told TMZ.
