“The Humans”: Stephen Karam’s breathtakingly honest family drama won the 2016 Tony Award for best play. Laguna art. The Laguna Art Museum celebrates its centennial with “Art Colony: The Laguna Beach Art Association, 1918-1935,” an overview of the artists who founded and expanded the institution. Barak Ballet. Media artist Refik Anadol’s digital projections, matched with Melissa Barak’s choreography and David Lawrence’s score, made for the revelatory 2017 dance “E/Space.” Barak’s troupe gives a repeat performance of “E/Space,” along with new pieces by Barak and Nicolas Blanc, a ballet master with the Joffrey.
