Incognito charged with making threats ETC.

Former NFL player Richie In- cognito is out of jail after being arrested on charges he threatened to shoot employees of an Arizona funeral home.

The 35-year-old Incognito posted a $20,000 bond. He has an Aug. 27 pretrial conference in Scottsdale Municipal Court.

Scottsdale police say Incognito was being held on misdemeano­r charges of threats and disorderly conduct.

They say he was at the funeral home Monday to make arrangemen­ts for his father, who died last weekend.

Police say Incognito got upset at the mortuary’s staff and “threatened to retrieve guns from his vehicle and return to shoot employees.”

Texas A&M says it is reviewing allegation­s of possible NCAA violations by football coaches made by a former player who transferre­d to Arizona. Santino Marchiol, a linebacker who signed with the Aggies in 2017 when Kevin Sumlin was coach, told USA Today that Aggies assistant coach Bradley Dale Peveto gave him cash on two occasions to entertain recruits on unofficial visits to campus. In a statement, Texas A&M says it is reviewing the situation with the NCAA and the SEC Office . ... After leading Seattle to the No. 1 spot in the final AP power poll of the season, Breanna Stewart was named Associated Press WNBA player of the year. Stewart averaged 21.8 points, 8.4 rebounds and shot 52.9% from the field. Atlanta’s Nicki Collen was chosen as AP’s coach of the year. In her first season as a head coach, she guided the Dream to a second-place finish in the standings. The Sparks’ Candace Parker was named to the AllWNBA first team.
