Butler’s three-point basket clinches it

Jimmy Butler made a threepoint basket with 0.4 seconds to play, giving the Philadelph­ia 76ers a 127-125 victory over the host Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.

“He kept taking his time and I am like, ‘Are you going to freaking shoot the ball?’ ” Joel Embiid said. “You know, big-time play. He got to his spot and he made a big-time shot.”

Butler’s winner from the right wing capped Philadelph­ia’s rally from 20 points down in a game the Nets led nearly all the way.

Butler finished with 34 points and 12 rebounds, and Embiid had 32 points and 12 boards for the 76ers.

D’Angelo Russell had 38 points, his highest total with the Nets, eight assists and eight rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie scored 31 points off the bench.

The Nets shot 57% from the field to head into the half with a 68-54 lead before the 76ers rallied.

at Atlanta 124, Charlotte 123:

John Collins had 23 points and 11 rebounds, and blocked Kemba Walker’s runner as time expired, helping the Hawks end a skid at 10 games. Kent Bazemore scored 20 points and made the go-ahead basket for Atlanta, driving past Dwayne Bacon for a layup with 4.6 seconds left.

at Toronto 125, Miami 115:

Kawhi Leonard had 29 points and 10 rebounds to help the Raptors win their fifth game in a row and improve to 11-0 against teams with a losing record. Dwyane Wade scored a season-high 35 points, an all-time best by a Heat backup.

New York 103, at Memphis 98:

Enes Kanter had a career-high 26 rebounds and scored 21 points, and the Knicks overcame a poor shooting first half to win their third game in a row. Jaren Jackson Jr. had seven blocks, tying a Grizzlies record for a rookie.

at Detroit 118, Phoenix 107:

Andre Drummond had 19 points and 16 rebounds for the Pistons, who had a difficult time shaking free of the Suns until a 15-3 run in the fourth quarter. Devin Booker scored 37 points for Phoenix.

Utah 133, at Sacramento 112:

Rudy Gobert had 18 points and 15 rebounds, Ricky Rubio scored 27 points and the Jazz ended a losing streak at three games despite playing without leading scorer Donovan Mitchell, who sat out because of bruised ribs. Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 20 points in his first start this season for the Kings.
