Brogdon is on the mark for the Bucks

-

Malcom Brogdon made tying and go-ahead three-point baskets in the final 67 seconds and the Milwaukee Bucks held on to beat the host Toronto Raptors 104-99 on Sunday night.

Brogdon scored 18 points, Giannis Antetokounmpo had 19 and matched a season high with 19 rebounds, and Brook Lopez had 19 points for the Bucks, the first team to beat Toronto twice this season.

“In terms of having a full game, playing hard on both ends and executing at a high level on both ends, executing the game plan, and then finishing strong down the stretch, that is definitely the top game for us,” Brogdon said.

Serge Ibaka scored 22 points and Kawhi Leonard had 20 for the Raptors, who have lost two games in a row. Toronto’s Kyle Lowry shot 0 for 5 and didn’t score for the first time this season. He had a teamhigh seven assists.

Neither Leonard (rest) nor Antetokounmpo (concussion protocol) played when the Raptors lost 124-109 at Milwaukee on Oct. 29, Toronto’s first defeat after a 6-0 start.

Toronto took a 97-94 lead on a three-pointer by Leonard with 2 minutes 7 seconds to play, but Brogdon made the tying threepointer with 1:07 to go and the goahead jumper with 40 seconds left.

New Orleans 116, at Detroit 108: Jrue Holiday scored 37 points and Julius Randle had 28 to help the Pelicans send the Pistons to their fourth loss in a row. Blake Griffin scored 35 points for Detroit, Andre Drummond had 23 points and 19 rebounds, and Langston Galloway scored a season-best 24. Detroit narrowed the deficit to 93-91, but the Pelicans responded with a 7-1 run to take an eight-point lead.

at San Antonio 110, Utah 97: DeMar DeRozan had 26 points and eight rebounds, Rudy Gay had 23 points and 15 rebounds, and the Spurs held the Jazz to 18 points in each the first and second quarters to set a season low for points given up by an opponent in the first half. Donovan Mitchell scored 27 points, all in the second half, for Utah.

Charlotte 119, at New York 107:

Kemba Walker scored 25 points and Jeremy Lamb had 19 for the Hornets, who led by as many as 28 points in a game they never trailed. Knicks rookie Kevin Knox tied a season high with 26 points and set a career high with 15 rebounds, and Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 21 points. Lamb’s layup with 8:50 to play in the third quarter gave the Hornets their biggest lead at 77-49.
