Porzingis has knee surgery

Dallas Mavericks forward Kristaps Porzingis underwent surgery to address the lateral meniscus injury in his right knee suffered in the playoffs against the Clippers on Aug. 17, the team announced.

Porzingis will begin rehabilita­tion immediatel­y with no timetable for basketball activities, the team said.
