Brees is expected to start for Saints

New Orleans Saints quarterbac­k Drew Brees “looked good” in his f irst practices since returning from rib fractures and a punctured lung, and is slated to start against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, coach Sean Payton said.

Brees has missed four games since his injury, suffered when he was sacked against San Francisco.

Dwayne Haskins was set to start at quarterbac­k for Washington against Seattle because Alex Smith is out with a right calf injury. ... Detroit quarterbac­k Matthew Stafford ( rib injury) was questionab­le for Sunday’s game in Tennessee. ...
