Ex-Dodger Puig signs in KBO

Yasiel Puig, who spent six major league seasons with the Dodgers, signed a one-year, $1-million contract with Kiwoom Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organizati­on.

Puig, 31, hasn’t played in the majors since 2019, when he played 100 games for the Cincinnati Reds and 49 for the Cleveland Indians before becoming a free agent.

Clint Hurdle, who managed the Colorado Rockies to the 2007 World Series, is returning as a special assistant to general manager Bill Schmidt.
