-

China’s Ministry of Education launched the 2022 college-graduate employment promotion week on May 2, with young jobseekers looking to uncover new employment opportunities at more than 15,000 online and offline recruiting sessions across the nation.

During the week-long promotion, more than 30 online recruiting events organized by the ministry's campus recruitment services will see over 800,000 jobs on offer.

The ministry is also organizing more than 10 industry-specific recruiting events in collaboration with various associations to help job hunters seek out their best career paths.

Meanwhile, from now up until mid-August, the ministry is also pushing a series of activities which have been termed "100-day Sprint" to further explore potential employment openings for graduates, and provide practical and detailed guidance services to ensure the overall employment stability of college graduates in 2022.

During this period, university secretaries, presidents and senior faculty group members will take the lead in entering enterprises and establishing employment cooperation channels with relevant units to seek out more job resources for graduates.

Colleges and universities around the country will also provide more focused training and support for key graduates groups, including those from low-income families and disabled graduates.

The number of urban job seekers in China is the highest it has been in years, which includes a record 10.76 million college graduates in 2022, highlighting the importance of the promotion week and related events.
