Gloria Julia Blackwell, 93, of Los Gatos, Ca, passed away peacefully, September25, 2021, in her own bed at her home of 60 years.

She was born to Frank and Mary Buffi, September 17, 1928 in Healdsburg, Ca. She was married to the love of her life, the late Kenneth M. Blackwell, in 1949. Gloria is survived by four children: Joann(jeff), Claudine(terry), Greg(kate), and Tim. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, her sister Dawn(larry)and her sister-in-law Barbara. Her brother, Ron predeceased her in 2016. Gloria was predeceased by her loving husband in 1996.

Gloria always said she had a wonderful life with lots of beautiful memories. Being married to Ken, a major homebuilder in Santa Clara County, brought her much happiness. They loved time with their family. Their interests included horse racing, fly fishing in Montana, and rooting for the local sports teams. Gloria volunteered in the Village House kitchen, run by Ming Quong, an organization that helps at risk children. Being an excellent cook herself, she regularly prepared her own meals until her passing. Playing golf and cards with her friends was a highlight of her later years. She was a devoted sports fan especially for the Golden State Warriors and the San Francisco Giants.

Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00am at the Darling-fischer Funeral Home 615 N. Santa Cruz Ave, Los Gatos,ca. Due to Covid we respect each person’s decision as whether to attend. The family prefers that people make donations to American Cancer Society or your charity of choice, in lieu of flowers.
