The end of competence?

I am outraged that President Trump has issued an executive order that will remove nonpartisan civil ser vice protection for thousands of federal workers that he declares are miscreants. He wants to purge them from government because they are the “deep” blue state that resists him. Each administration appoints about 4,000 political appointees. Trump wants to give himself the authority to appoint thousands more. Is there no end to his destruction of America and the unthinking support of his enablers like Sen. Cor y Gardner?

Political loyalty and cronyism, not competence, will infect the entire federal government. Will your Social Security check arrive on time? It may not with political hacks in charge. Will your Medicare coverage be satisfactor y? It may not. Will the IRS know how to process your taxes? Will the CDC be neutered? Will the EPA know how to conduct air/water pollution tests? Will the Federal Highway Administration know how to plan road improvements?

Let’s make America progressive, compassionate, and respected again. Enough is enough! Let’s send the immoral Trump and know-nothing Sen. Gardner packing on Nov. 3.
