Respect for Marriage Act flouts the word of God
My DNA, seemingly, was established at a very early age. I have been a patriotic American since I was a teenager, residing in Wisconsin at the time. I also became a Christian at the age of 13. And I have continued my love for America and faith throughout the course of my life. I am now a senior citizen in my late 80s.
Because of these beliefs, I have objected to the vast majority of what President Biden has done since his inauguration on Jan. 20, 2021.
As result of my Christian faith, I support what the Bible says is right and oppose anything the Bible tells me is wrong.
On Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act into law which requires all 50 states, like it or not, to now recognize same-sex marriage. This ill-advised legislation has nothing to do with respecting marriage.
Prior to Biden’s signing, every Democrat, without exception, in both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, voted in favor of this nonsense. Along with a few congressional Republicans who joined the Democratic caucus. Shame, shame.
Each and every one of these individuals have chosen to both flout, and scoff, at the word of God.
The Holy Bible is very clear on this subject. Leviticus 18:22 states: “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is an abomination.” Also, Leviticus 20:13 states: “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination.”
I find it unconscionable that these “elected officials” think they are above the authority of our God! What are they thinking? Again, shame, shame.
